My (s)hero

Five years ago, in the dark corner of a big quiet home,I logged into a website for women. For sheer interest in the inspiring stories of women worldwide. I forgot my own problems as each day I found myself find time to log into the same website to let these women move me to become my own person, find my own voice. In six months time I registered and became a member ofWorld Pulse-the largest global uniting force that brings women together to voice their issues and offer solutions.

Five years have gone past.I have transformed to a woman that I always wanted to be but did not know 'how'.World Pulse changed me forever.

Today I want you to meet the Founder of World Pulse-the woman who is World Pulse. The woman who visualized how to empower women worldwide by giving them digital inclusion. The friend who always believed in me as much as she believed in women from the 190 countries on World Pulse. My dearest sister, our mountain. Jensine Larsen- My (s)hero all the way !!

Today she champions for women to 'break the silence' around menstruation and wears red for me for my global campaign to banish myths and taboos around menstruation(This is a picture on my global campaign on Facebook titled 'Breaking the Silence').

Women on World Pulse come from one united community. We know how we look, how we feel and how we think. But most of all, we know we are there for each other in any possible manner that we can be for another sister. No matter which country, religion, caste or creed, we recognize a World Pulse sister from afar in the way she is so close to technology to connect to another sister, taking every opportunity and leaving no stones unturned to effect the life of another woman, another sister.

That is the spirit of World Pulse.
