Ger Out Corona. Rio de Janeiro-Brazil (Valéria Barbosa)
An empty river that doesn't run water, that doesn't bathe in the sun, that smells like gel alcohol.
A river that is the world, in a sea of fears containing fear, for wanting to live.
A river that implores barriers to the wind, in straw protected with the hope of a cure.
A virus coming in and people screaming: - GET OUT CORONA!
Drown in research! Produce drugs! Protect the stories! Our memories of our elderly.
A River of Hope in a neighboring world, brother. In a crisis calling for the expulsion of the same villain.
LEAVE CORONA FROM OUR PLANET!
WIN SCIENCE!
SURVIVE THE UNION!

Dear Valeria,
Thanks for this straight to the point poem. We are already so stretched and challenged. For how much longer can we go on like this? Let's the faith, hope and love going. Keep raising our voices because they matter especially in moments like these.
