WePreneurs: EmpoweringWomen Entrepreneurs In Latin America

My story is one of so many woman entrepreneurs in our developing countries. I was born in Argentina and Imoved to Mexico with my family three years ago. I have been married for 15 years with Sebastian and we both have 4 lovely children: Catalina (13), Francisca (11), Tomas (8) and Agustina (6). We believed that an international family experience would be a such a learning one that would give us a new perspective and opportunities for us and the children.

Since I was very young I saw that women in general are faced with the challenge of integrating personal, family and professional demands. I saw entrepreneurship as almost the only way to achieve my dreams. At that time, I did not know how hard but exciting it was to set up, grow and expand my business. I only dreamt with "the sky is the limit" concept.

In 2003, when my first daughter Catalina was born, I founded Goinglobal (www.goinglobal.com.mx), a WeConnect-certified language consulting company that helps corporations and professionals to have access to the global market by overcoming the language and cultural barrier in doing business. We now offer our services to almost all Latin American countries and export our translation services to the US and Canada.

I believe in passion, team building, outstanding service, customer relationship, honesty, and networks.

International Networks opened so many doors to me:

I took part of the VVLead Program (Vital Voices Leadership Program) in 2015. I was a mentee and I'm now a mentor of the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women in the UK. In 2012, I was nominated by the US State Department and took part of the 10,000 Women Program, a Goldman Sachs and Thunderbird School of Global Management initiative.I'm now the Chair of the Women Presidents’ Organization (www.womenpresidentsorg.com) in Mexico, the worldwide NGO headquartered in NYC, with more than 1,800 members around the world.

When I went to Thunderbird for the 10,000 Women Program, I was one of other 25 Latin American women entrepreneurs. Only 3 of us were proficient in English. I was then and there the great barrier language is for many women who can't have access to opportunities. As I'm so passionate about women entrepreneurs in developing countries that we created the WePreneurs Program with my team. The aim of the Program is to train women entrepreneurs in Latin America to overcome the language and cultural barriers in order to have access to international networks and be able to expand their business.
