“The United Molecules of the World” #MakeChangeNotTrash



A group of teenagers named “Ragazzi per l’unita”/ United Youth in Turin Italy is becoming more and more famous for the environmental activities in the area. One of the projects is focused on “Coloring the city” and is meant to bring more beauty and purification to the city.



The participants in the projects are divided into teams and compete between them in order to gain more points at the end of the year and win the big trophy. Thus, each team tries to be involved in as many positive activities for the city.



Lorenzo and Madeleine are two young activists that built up their team with a very special name: “The United Molecules of the World”



“At the beginning we had to clean the green area around the school and after a great success the city hall allowed us do the cleaning of this beautiful antique castle.” Says Madeleine.



Other 30 people joining the event are the friends, schoolmates and church representatives of this teenagers.



“We invited an enormous number of people to join us, but only a small percentage responded”. Our friends bring their gardening gloves and working equipment voluntarily and the city hall environment department brings the rest.” Mentioned Lorenzo.



It is the second event of such kind in the city of Turin, with the privilege to have access to an antique castle, possibility to work and arrange the area, to have a picnic break with friends and also the parents of this children who joined without hesitation the event.



The best part of this acts is working and spending time wisely and together for the benefit of environment.



“We are doing the change, something positive and with this we have a positive influence on others who learn from us how to do good things as well” stated Madelaine followed by Lorenzo wo added “To win the competition we plan to do more similar activities. It was two of us at the beginning, then three, then 15, and we are sure more will join the same way our parents did when they noticed the great effects of staying outside with us, helping cleaning the area and breathing the fresh air”.
