The Alexia Foundation promotes the power of photojournalism to give voice to social injustice, to respect history lest we forget it and to understand cultural difference as our strength — not our weakness. Through grants and scholarships, The Alexia Foundation supports photographers as agents for change.
The deadlines for The Alexia Foundation Grants are approaching quickly. Applications for the $20,000 Professional Grant are due Jan. 29 at 2 p.m. Eastern U.S. Time. Applications for the Student Grants are due Feb. 2 at 2 p.m. Eastern U.S. Time.
The grants will be awarded to those who propose significant projects that share in the Foundation’s mission of giving voice to those who go unheard, fostering cultural understanding and exposing social injustice. Applicants should submit photographic or motion materials that reflect the ability to execute the proposed project.
