I Am AGEING ......

This Year I am turning 60 years old and sometimes I really do feel my age....I suffer from menopause badly where my fiberoids are growing at an alarming pace and makes my tummy really big......friends and even strangers ask me if I am pregnant.....

i used to feel ashamed of going out in public and an ex partner who sometimes can be unkind calls me ugly......

funny it doesn't bother me now....in fact it has become my trade mark and it is just who I am...an ageing woman going through menopause with a big pot belly.....actually one of my new found friend finds it fascinating....and with proper diet and exercise I should be able to reduce the fiberoids.......but I currently TRY to eat sensibly and I do exercise but cheat at times.....

As I grow more matured, I tend to see life differently now.....being part of the GLBTIQ community and at my age, I am now seeing RIGHTS in a different light and it is probably because of the life experiences I have gone through.....I feel Rights comes with responsibility....and it is not only about flying flags, cheering loudly and holding up posters.....Rights is also about being responsible in terms of taking into account things like risk, safety, responsibility, acceptance and understanding.....

I am now appreciative of ageing and the type of discrimination we go through. As a woman in business who just started a few years ago.....it is indeed a challenge but,it gives me an opportunity to work closely with young people and get to understand the stress these young people go through as well.....i am always shocked at the cruelty, anger, hatred between us human beings because of race, age, looks, income levels....but I still have faith in man kind....I am still trying to find my God and yes I do pray now but being only human I am tempted to hate, gossip, be angry and just be a shit......

Lets go back to the simple things in life....let's love....Let's be kind.....Let's find peace in one another.....
