Sauti Tz

i am preparing an app called sauti tz.

SAUTI Tz app/website is an online platform that provides educative content to community members as well as possible assistance measures.

The platform will focus on three categories, and they are prior to change according to the community demand.

These areas are:

  1. Social and health

  2. Enrepreneurship

  3. Legal issues

PROBLEM STATEMENT

  1. SOCIAL AND HEALTH

We all know that men and women face many social and health problems and we must re-commit to addressing them. This app/website will address few of the issues that are affecting them and we believe they should be given clear attention by all, as well as to provide possible measures to reduce if not to eliminate them from our community. Such help includes psychological help, treatments and screening and legal help.

Cancer: Cancer has become one of the major concerns for the majority of men and women.

While women are struggles with the two most common cancers which are breast and cervical cancers, Men are struggling with the prostate cancer

Breast and cervical cancer: Detecting both these cancers early is key to keeping women alive and healthy. The latest global figures show that around half a million women die from cervical cancer and half a million from breast cancer each year.

Prostate Cancer (Tezi dume): Prostate cancer is cancer that occurs in the prostate — a small walnut-shaped gland in men that produces the seminal fluid that nourishes and transports sperm.

Prostate cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in men. Usually prostate cancer grows slowly and is initially confined to the prostate gland, where it may not cause serious harm.

Violence against women: Women can be subject to a range of different forms of violence, but physical and sexual violence either by a partner or someone else is particularly invidious. Today, one in three women under 50 has experienced physical and/or sexual violence by a partner, or non-partner sexual violence, violence which affects their physical and mental health in the short and long-term. It’s important for women to be alert to violence so they can help prevent it, as well as provide support to people who experience it.

Violence against men: There are masculinity expectations that if a man is in pain, he is not allowed to show his agony or cry in public. These expectations make it difficult for male victims of domestic violence to report the abuse. Gender-based violence has to do with the abuse that is suffered by partners who are in relationships. This violence includes but not limited to physical, sexual, psychological, economic harm which can be inform of actions such as threats and coercion. Men usually do not speak out about their experiences due to the stigma attached to them being victims of female-perpetrated domestic abuse.

Mental health: Evidence suggests that women are more prone than men to experience anxiety, depression, and somatic complaints, physical symptoms that cannot be explained medically. Depression is the most common mental health problem for women and suicide is a leading cause of death for women under 60. Helping sensitize women to mental health issues, and giving them the confidence to seek assistance, is vital.

Retirement; is the withdrawal from one's position or occupation or from one's active working life. It might coincide with important life changes which will need some relevant planning for retirement to avoid the feeling of being restless and suffer from depression as a result of their new life situation,  the app users will have access to information that will help them plan better their retirement as well as getting more help from retirement expects.

Hepatitis: Hepatitis refers to an inflammatory condition of the liver. It’s commonly caused by a viral infection, but there are other possible causes of hepatitis. These include autoimmune hepatitis and hepatitis that occurs as a secondary result of medications, drugs, toxins, and alcohol.

Family planning; Family planning is central to gender equality and women’s empowerment, and it is a key factor in reducing poverty. Unsafe sex is a major risk factor particularly among men, women and girls in developing countries. This is why it is so important to get services to those who aren’t getting the contraception services they need. It gives a room to reduce the rate of unprotected sex and unwanted pregnancies.

Sexual dysfunction is any physical or psychological problem that prevents you or your partner from getting sexual satisfaction. Male sexual dysfunction is a common health problem affecting men of all ages, but is more common with increasing age. Treatment can often help men suffering from sexual dysfunction.

As we all know these main causes of sexual dysfunctions are revolving around us in our daily lives, so there is high risk of people suffering from this problem, there is a need for deeper understanding  as well as precautions and treatment.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Entrepreneurs’ are people who initiate a business, gather all resources, undertake risks face challenges, provide employment to others and manages the business independently.

For many, entrepreneurship is a great career choice that allows for a better work/life balance and more income.

As there are a very big rising number of women entrepreneurs who turn out to positively be a very good example to our societies, we have a chance to encourage the SMEs led by women to fulfill their future.  If women do not participate fully in entrepreneurial activities, we lose half the potential of our society and economic development will be limited, women who do take on entrepreneurial roles succeed admirably, thus their participation is all the more important.

Entrepreneurs face different challenges that need to be sorted in either way, so that we can encourage more room for their growth.

SAUTITZ mobile application will provide solutions to the frequently faced challenges to entrepreneurs in Tanzania.

These challenges are:

  1. Financial problem, finance is regarded as life blood for any entrepreneur be it small or big, however women entrepreneurs suffer from shortage of finance on two counts, firstly women do not have property on their names to use them as collateral for obtaining funds from external sources, thus their access to the external sources of funds is limited.

Secondly, the banks also consider women less credit worthy and discourage women borrowers on the belief that they can at any time leave their business, given such situation women entrepreneurs are bound to rely on their own savings, if any and loans from friends and relatively who are expectedly meager and negligible.

Balancing business and family life, parent entrepreneurs have dual responsibilities to their businesses and to their families, finding ways to devote time both is key to truly achieving that elusive work life balance.

Fear of failure, failure is a real possibility in any business, the road to success is paved with losses, mishaps and mistakes, but it still can lead to where you want to go as long as you don’t lose sight of your destination, this is a fact every women entrepreneur should understand.

Entrepreneurial education, this is the purposeful intervention by an educator in the life of the learner to impact entrepreneurial qualities and skills  to enable the learner to survive in the world of business, most women fail to sustain in the entrepreneurial world due to luck of proper mastery of entrepreneurship skills.

However the entrepreneurial challenges affect men too,  the app will be a significant to both genders according to their problem.

LEGAL:

As stated above, the App users will be able to get legal help on PROBATE ISSUES, MATRIMONIAL ISSUES, REAL ESTATE AND LABOUR ISSUES as we have witnessed a lot of effects to our societies as a result of lack of proper understanding on the above related issues.

Probate; Majority of Tanzanians are now facing issues on probate matters where families and relatives fight for inheriting the estate of the deceased. Majority of the legal heirs have to engage in a prolonged battle for getting what is originally theirs, of which the result can never be guaranteed 100%.

Matrimonial issues; This is mostly affecting women after the divorce, most women doesn’t know the next step after being divorced, the intention is to help them in getting the easy and accessible advice whenever needed. There is also a very small number of men who also faces the same problem based on the actual financial position of the family as in who really provides for the family.

Real estate; Land is a very important property which leads to lots of legal encumbrances in a community. Majority of Tanzanians buys land without following the procedures and ends up facing lots of legal obstacles during the change of a title deed or even after starting to use the land for different purposes.

Labour issues; Employment has become one of the major issues among youths, there is a very high level of unemployment and at the same time a very big number of unfair terminations for those who were lucky enough to get employed. Mostly this unfair termination happens to the ones in private sector. This App aims at giving out affordable and easily accessible advice on how to handle the situation and when needful connection to the lawyers who will deal with his/her situation.

What the App will do:

The App will provide information on the selected health problems, symptoms and effects, request for doctor’s appointment as well as Cancer screening that will be done once after every three months, which will add to a number of 3 possible screening every year for breast, pelvic and prostate cancer.

Also the App will provide soft skills on the selected most crucial entrepreneurship, legal psychology and retirement challenges, the users will have a chance to book for consultations appointments in their areas.

According to the big arising number of violence actions in our societies, the users will get the opportunity to learn on the effects of these violence activities to their communities and families,  as well as get a chance to report on the violence done against men, women and

Am looking forwad to impact a bigger number of people because i have touched all critical areas that bring up a lot of challenges to the community.

Currently the support i need is an IT person to design the app and website, i dont have enough capital to pay for IT personel.

So far i have succeeded to invole proffesionals who will be providing the services required in the app, and i have already met with the police officers on the matter of reporting violance actions from the society.
