Sharda holds a Master’s Degree in Gender, Media and Culture from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She has worked in the social sector in areas as diverse as gender empowerment, human rights, social entrepreneurship, education, governance and civic issues. Her recent employment was at Aidha, a Singapore based nonprofit organization that works towards providing financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills to foreign domestic workers and low-income women.
Having worked in India and Singapore over the past four years, she has gained skills in functions ranging from communications and social media to people management, managing corporate partnerships and designing skill-building programs.
