As mahamed ahmed I stood up to help women and girls victims  sexual violence by working with the community to prevent gender-based violence.  I am the project manager for the Somali Salvation and Development Agency  (Somali Women's Protection and Development Organization) (SOWPADO)  operating in the central regions and  those of the north  Founded in May 2020 by Somali scholars and human rights activists  SOWPADO uses a comprehensive approach to combat its problems  meet vulnerable women and girls by providing psychological and social support.  Food, health, education and protection of victims are also central  the work of SOWPADO  “Victims in the community do not get the support they need.  They are discriminated against,  and looked down.  Survivors are not even married in the community, ”he said.  I am one of the few men who campaigns for women's rights in Somalia.  However   I believe I am in a better position to replace some of the misconceptions  on gender, stigma and negative social perceptions of women's rights
