For “THEM” for “ME” and for “YOU”

Three years ago my overwhelming experience with Sudanese women in conflict zone\\s started!
When I joined the organization I am working with now, I was so excited to know more, to travel to the different parts of the country, my work was\\is about women who have been affected by the different wars in Sudan, those who suffered from alienation, those whom their bodies were\\are used as a weapon in this ongoing destructive game, those who left their villages to the middle of nowhere to suffer from the other face of the anguishes, to be foreigner inside your country, to be homeless, to be an internally displaced person!. We are trying to help, to address the challenges and to monitor the violations against those women.
I have been traveling to different parts of the country all over the past period, conducting assessments to the needs of the displaced communities and to empower women within these communities. I have to admit that I have been always amazed by the strength and the courage of those women to face their lifelong atrocities from poverty, displacement, domestic violence and sexual abuse, after each meeting with them I take some time to think if I have been in the position of this woman what would I have done?! It's an incredibly hard experience that most of it remains “untold” nonetheless those women cannot overcome these ordeals without compensation. Justice for those victims\\survivors is an optimal compensation for those women, recognition of their value in society rather than blaming of victims is a compensation, sympathy is a compensation; and this what my work and my life's motivation is about, seeking justice, seeking compensations for my people!.
Most of the people knows about the conflict in Sudan, however this knowledge remain very general, less people knows about the roots, the stories of women within these situation, I myself was not aware of all these complication until I actually started to work in this areas, I believe that all those women have punch of stories to tell, they need to share and they need the world to listen, to learn the lessons, to avoid falling in the same traps; I want to be the voice of those women, I want to raise my own voice as a woman more and more , that's why I want to be a voice of our future correspondent.
Those women needs to tell their stories, make the world aware about their atrocities and their resistance and this is the first step to achieve justice, in Sudan courts rarely grantee justice, people's sympathy is part of the process of access to justice though.
We all need to listen to stories of people survivors, victims or even perpetrators, web 2.0 ease this listening process it enabled people to “witness” things that took place millions of miles away and that's how it amplified the voices of vulnerable people, voices of our future indeed does that.
I want to be voices of our future correspondent for “them” the forgotten women in my country, those who were deprived from their basic human rights and those who are vulnerable to this deprivation, I want to be voices of our future correspondent because of me to share my experience and my stories which are all those women stories, I need to share more, I need to write down about my story and those women stories and also want to be voices of future correspondent because of “you” as I know that as same as I am enthusiastic to listen more from women all over the globe and learn from their experiences , you also want to listen to these stories including my story, my people story.
Voices of our future program will help me to do that better, it will amplify my voice and my community's as well.
