My personal Assets Map

Huuuuuu! As we come to the end of this training i have no doubt to say that i have learnt alot from my fellow changemakers.More so its like am the only man training among a good number of determined ladies.At one time i almost thought of quitting the training, but i was encouraged so much with MAYA and also by looking back at the women and girls i impart the skills to.

Organisations and Associations-My i say that i belong to a school community where formal education by am a teacher.I teach formal education where the curriculum is drafted by the govenment.I also impart skills on computer and entreprenuership to women and girls from the community mainly after the school programme

I do this work in one of the classes which we have converted into a make shift lecture halls.We also do it through the internet since internet and online services is one of the topics i teach, this we share alot through the internet

On personal skills- I hold a bachelors degree in education (Biology/Agriculture).Am also a Digital Ambassador in my school having started this under the banner 'spark a child digital future' an initiative of the British council and the Intel group in conjuction the World vision kenya chapter

I work hand in hand with several stake holders in the community i.e the local administration,houses of Faith,NGOs and the TOTs i have trained to do mobilisation and resource finding so that we can impart the digital knowledge

Its my prayer that if i may get the resources i may reach my goals

1. I need more electronic gadgets i.e computers,printers,cameras etc so that i can reach to more people since i fore see in future the numbers may increase

2. I need to raise some capital to support some of the groups my graduate trainees have started in order for the to start business for self reliance.So far i have 8 cohort of graduants.

3. I feel i need to be trained more on computer and entreprenueral skills so that i can disseminate the same to the trainees i deal with

Remember John Dewey once said 'Education is not preparation for life;education is life itself '
