Introducing myself and my journal: A circle of greatness without limitation: open possibilities

About Me:
I was born in rural Jamaica in small farming community in the Parish of St. Elizabeth which is located in the Southern section on the island. My parents are second generation farmers who harvest vegetables and ground provisions. As a child, i recalled visiting the farms with my dad and took great delight and pride watching him harvesting his crops. My father like his father never attended high school. It was customary for the boys to stay at home and farm the lands while the girls were enrolled in schools. Nonetheless my parents placed a great emphasis on education and motivated me towards my studies. I am eternally grateful to them for this wonderful opportunity which has open doors of opportunity for me in this world.
Today i am actively engaged in empowering young women through mentor-ship activities. My philosophy is that unity and solidarity among women will enhance our voice in this world.

My Passions:
Youth at risk, gender issues, conflict, child abuse, poverty reduction, equality and prosperity for all

My Challenges:
Time management to complete my passions and balance everything that i am focusing on at the current moment

My Vision for the Future:
A world that will provide greater opportunities for those who are born in poverty.

My Areas of Expertise:
Development studies and legal research background having completed my llb.
