MINE EYES HAVE SEEN
Someone stole my sunglasses
Forced me into the light;
At a tender age mine eyes had seen
The personal pains of life.
Lost alone and helpless
I hugged my fears and cried;
Abandoned from the years of innocence
With teddybear at side.
But looking back, I had a friend
Who has always walked with me;
He made me the victor that I am
An overcomer in reality.
Someone stole my sunglasses
I thank God for vision keen;
I have Jesus as my focus
Oh, mine eyes have seen.
