While you are busy doing what YOU think is your calling, LISTEN to what the Universe is telling you.

Today I was reminded of how important I am. I had forgotten and was disappointed in my progress. However, I got an email from one of my street orphans. He had done piece work in developing country where he is, Livingstone Zambia. I am back in Chicago, Illinois until August 28th when I will be back there.

He ran out of money I had given him and did piecework after school for 8 hours to write a hurried message because he only had a little money for the internet cafe.

He wanted to tell me he had lined up 7 students to help with our roof seal project. What is our roof seal project? The one room huts that house 8-18 people in one room have huge holes in them. During the rainy season the people have to stand in corners all night, to try to avoid the huge falls of water. Then the kids are expected to go to school and learn the next morning.

So, I started a program where 7-10 of my older street orphans go down through the poorest of the poor areas and seal the roofs. As I have noted before, the people are so overcome with this simple inexpensive act stopping their suffering that they come out fall to their knees and thank the kids. The kids self-esteem goes up and they are learning little management skills.

When I go back in August each of the 7 kids working on this project are required to get 7 kids each and they will be team leaders. We have done almost 500 huts and we are aiming to do 1000 this time. My driver is driving 9 hours to Lusaka with one of the street orphans, Constantino, to buy 100 cans of roof seal wholesale.

In 2006 I thought my calling was to educate street orphans. NOW, I was listening last year when the universe was talking to me and showed me the gift I have really been chosen for. Stopping the suffering of many through sealing the roofs.

I am reminded of how important it is to be open to what the universe is showing me. It is important that we do something that makes us alive and energized. Yet I think we need to be open the fact that that may only be the entrance to the grand experience meant for us.

I also believe we need to communicate more throught his WORLD PULSE so that we do not get complacent and so that we stay energized to our soul purpose. But either way, I get up every morning with the intention and committment to do at least something to plant a seed or do an action that will lead to the great tapestry of life. We are each threads. Nice to know you, threads. Haha.
