It's been HELL IN THE HALLWAYS IN CHICAGO AND AFRICA

While I have seemingly been writing inspirational messages to some people, I have been going through a lot of trauma and problems here in Chicago trying to manage some people in Africa/Zambia.
The past 3 weeks have been important.

Single orphan means an orphan has one parent alive.
Double orphan means she has no parents alive.

Beverly(A boy) had his mother collapse a few weeks ago. I wired money and got her to the doctor and stabilized with meds through western union. And food.

Then one kid I sponsor Levi said his Auntie Grace was acting crazy. It was pressure. We thought she had kidney disease because she could not sleep on either side. I sent money for a private doctor and it turned out her ribs were fused together from carrying heavy things like firewood for so long. So, I sent food and medicine money and had them all sit down for a meeting explaining this could no longer continue. That Grace cannot work carrying anything ever again and that all these lazy men had to start helping and set up a schedule. That seemed to work out fine.

Then a week ago Beverly's mother collapsed again. She had stopped taking meds because she ran out. And perhaps she wasn't diagnosed appropriately in this developing country who has suffered brain drain.

Then Levi wrote that Grace was dizzy., falling, excessively thirsty, etc. He took her to a doctor who would not see her because she had no money to pay. So, he was emailing asking me the name of cheap meds for high blood pressure which is what he was told by the Doctor she probably had. I was concerned because it sounded like diabetes and she needed tests done. So, we took care of that thanks to Western Union. Yes, she has diabetes, is on meds, is eating. I learned today that she was supposed to go back to the doctor daily but was not due to lack of transport. So, I had to remind Levi that he could get transport with Aaron my driver when I am there and I will pay him when I get there the end of the month.

Then, Beverly's mother collapsed and is sick again with no money.

Then in the middle of this Constantino Sampa, who I sponsor and lovingly call The KIng, is so sick that he cannot stop coughing and is very very sick with no food, no money and so forth. So, I wire money for the Doctor, food and meds. Levi was to go back with The King Monday for diagnosis, etc. Except when he went back Monday the Doctor wasn't there and was off for the day and no one could tell him anything. Some one, unqualified, gave him a list of meds to get. Then he went the next day. NO doctor. Then I told him to go today, ask for another doctor or nurse as The King is coughing and very ill, but then so is Catherine and Grace.

I said to be sure to get his diagnosis. He just emailed me that the doctor said because his shoes are so tight his veins are not open and that is making him cough. Plus he drinks so much ice water it is making his veins get smaller inside. W H A T ???? Then he gave me a list of medicines he was to get The King except they were all different from the former list. I looked some up and they are for allergies, lung disease, pneumonia and all sorts of things. But I still do not know the diagnosis or what is appropriate.

Why am I telling you all this? I do not know. I guess I want to show you that though I live in Chicago, Illinois, my love is for helping the Africans and the frustration at being helpless unless I am literally there myself is huge. Even when I am there, I have to hide because if the natives see I am white the doctors, shop keepers and all, triple the price for everything. That part I don't mind. I can handle it. It is very difficult without knowledgeable people handy there to keep things going. I am allowed to be in that country 90 days out of the year.

I just left an email begging Levi to go with an intelligent adult to get the correct diagnosis and to tell The KIng to take off his shoes.

Of course, I wired money but now Levi is not sure how to prioritize.

Prays, everyone. I am asking for prayers. I know this is what you all go through on a daily basis. I applaud your efforts as I also applaud mine.

Ubuntu (I am who I am because of who we are together).

The picture of me is with Beverly's mother, Catherine, a few years ago
