We belong to each other.
We belong to each other.: Sam talks women empowerment at TEDxArchivorum. (1/1)

Dr. Sam Collins hosted three events (Reinvent, Resolve & Reimagination) for women in 2020 in the early and still continuing stages of the COVID lockdown. Her personal goal is to impact One Billion Women. Not to be deterred from making progress, Sam and her adorable team hosted 3 virtual events to pull women forward during this deadly pause.

I was generously invited to and did attend all three in 2020. LADIES, am I glad I did! Several World Pulse women writers may be familiar with her empowering inspiring events. If you get an opportunity to attend - DO! I credit Sam with giving me sufficient courage to get over the talking last year and get on with the action taking on climate this year.

In an interview, Sam replies, "Aspire was created as a tribute to my mother’s legacy. She was a very independent and savvy business woman. After her unexpected passing, while I was still finding my way as a young woman at university, I was inspired to help women better themselves in their work and life. Aspire, a coaching and leadership development company, was founded in 2000. A decade later, Aspire’s non-profit offshoot, the Aspire Foundation, was created to further improve the lives of women around the world by providing women in non-profits with much needed mentoring."

I've just received this request from Sam and thought you courageous World Pulse women might like to respond with your stories on COURAGE.

We want to understand the impact that these unprecedented and fatiguing times have had on self-esteem and levels of bravery and courage at home and at work. That's why we're launching the Aspire 2021 Women's Courage and Confidence Survey. We also want to share the simple steps that can go a long way for providing a boost of confidence and strategies for success. We would love to hear from you, so please share your views here.

As a thanks for your time and viewpoints, we are offering:

A chance to win a £500 voucher for Aspire events for yourself or to gift to someone you know.

A chance to win a 1 on 1 executive coaching session focused on your personal, career or leadership development.

Contribute to a community with the goal to make a difference for women and girls around the world.

The results of the survey will be used to design our events and publish blogs and articles that we hope will be useful to professionals engaged in their own career development as well as those in the HR, Diversity & Inclusion, Learning and Corporate Social Responsibility fields.

We would also greatly appreciate it if you would pass this invitation on to your friends and colleagues in and out of your organisation who might be interested in taking part. Women, men and non-binary individuals alike are all welcome to provide their feedback. We would especially love to hear from those in other countries as we are keen to make global comparisons and gain a wider perspective.

(Wait, wait, some of you may have read any of my other posts on climate, so here is more good news from Sam about climate. Please attend!)

You are invited to join us to enjoy an hour of inspiration and networking at the Aspire ‘It’s a M.A.D. (Making a Difference) World’ event focused on CLIMATE.

Come along and share ideas, network and meet like-minded women and men from across industries and countries.

We are facing an increasingly complex and volatile world in 2021 both personally, professionally and in our communities and wider world. At this event, we will explore the latest thinking about the empowerment of women as leaders for climate change, the role of business and why businesses that focus on a triple bottom line of profits, people and planet will be the sole survivors and innovators of the future.

This event will be led by Dr Sam Collins, Founder and CEO of Aspire, named ‘One of the Top 200 Women to Impact Business and Industry’ by Her Majesty the Queen and ‘A Woman Shaping the World’ by CNN. Award-winning leadership expert, social entrepreneur, keynote speaker and internationally bestselling author, Dr Collins is a leading global voice on leadership and change for workplaces, organizational culture and community impact.

Join us and...

Gain new ideas, contacts and thinking to move forward on your aspirations for yourself, your organization and making a difference in the world.

Think through how you can make a difference and impact climate change.

Seek diverse views to challenge your thinking with women who see the world differently.

Receive support and encouragement from a like-minded network of women making a difference to themselves and others.

Be inspired and uplifted by others' goals and aspirations.

Commit to action and ongoing change and sustainability.

This event is open to women and men from all ages, industries and sectors from across the globe.

Aspire has been developing the leaders and role models of the future for the past 21 years and we were one of the first pioneering companies to specifically focus on leadership development and social change for women leaders.

Thank you in advance for your participation! Sam
