ending violence toward girls/women

Dear sisters, we all know that domestic violence is common in India. How do you think teaching young boys in school to respect girls would help? If the boys learned to follow their own hearts, instead of their father's heart that it is OK to hit or beat their mother, do you think boys would grow up being better husbands and fathers? If you agree, do you think this would begin the ending of violence toward women in the whole society? Let's get some discussin going to this, then we can contact schools to see whether they can include that in their curriculum and attitude in school. What do you think?
love and hugs,
William
