learning respect and worth for herself

Sisters, our World Pule sister, Ruth Beedle shared her thought about the first step women in India need to take, to start the cultural process of ending violence toward women. I've copied her post below.

Ruth Beedle The first thing is for the women to learn, understand and hold it in their BONES that it IS NOT OKAY to be treated with anything less than tenderness and respect. So many women - even in the US - don't believe they are worthy of the love and respect they truly deserve. It starts with KNOWING WE ARE!

Today, Upasana Chauhan of World Pulse sent a link to the film done by BBC: India: a dangerous place to be a women.
I have it on a DVD and will send it to some W.P. supporters soon. I'll try to figure out how to post the link in India Cafe.

Maybe Ruth's idea of teaching self-respect is the first step to make. What do you think?
blessings,
William
