This world pulse #impact reminds me of a British movie entitled IMPACT! Those of you who might have watched it will at a point in time agree with me. It was a very nice love story depicted. Even though the end was tragic, it left a lots of lessons for me. Thus...
1. In this life its our own decision to choose whom or who to trust and relied on
2. Our future is evolved on how we see the things around us.
3. Any actions we take have consequence.
Now back in the movie scene. A loving wife who allowed her selfish desire to betray her husband together with the boyfriend ended up baldly. The end result the boyfriend died, she was jailed, and she lost her caring husband to another woman! sadly.
I joined world pulse September 2018. It was after a long time friend introduced me to take a look at the site. Honestly, at the time I heard about world pulse I was desperately in need of funds for my self help business. So when my friend gave me a clue of what could be possible here I was like holala :-)!
As I speak today I have lost interest in that desperation. I met kind honest hearted people, friends and even sisters and aunt's. Its became like a loving family, we share ideas and solve problems together. What love can be there than this? I at some point got embarrassed for my initial actions. I told myself, one step at a time, take it easy.
Nevertheless, I was able to raise 320$ in this platform to continue my self help business with my girls. Great thanks to you who made this a reality. I have not won an award yet! Non of my stories have gotten a feature award, however figuratively I felt like three of my stories have been awarded/ featured already equating it with my 320$ raised ha :-)!
God works in mysterious ways. Your price is different from the others. We got different talents and insides, please sisters let's use it accordingly. World pulse have given us the platform to shine, please let's shine our way out. As you are here do not wait for world pulse to find you. Let others find you through world pulse.
Going forward I have established my self help business. We started with three girls, put hey when life gives you lemon you make lemonade out of it. Our lemonade is ready for the market Please come taste it :-).
We will not give up until we remove all teen mothers from every street on Accra. This was possible courtesy of World Pulse. So if you want to add a voice to support our # teen mother off the street you are most welcome. Just inbox me here on wp and we are good to go! We also looking for a volunteer to design our upcoming website for us, this might include buying a domain. Anyone who will support us here is most welcome.
Now concluding the movie, the take home is never betray a friend or a love one that brought you to your feet. Else you will have burnt the Bridges. I hoped you picked something from my impact.
World Pulse is lucky to have you in the community! Thank you for being a sister to us all. <3
I am also appreciative of having all of you around me. We are a big family :-). Thank you sister Corine.
Yes! indeed, a big family. I love that.
Thanks :-) and have a nice day!
Hi Lizzy,
How are you doing? It sounds like you're doing well:-) It's great to hear how much WP has inspired you to live your life more on purpose, to start your biz and to be more confident, too. Have you checked out idealist.org to post for a web design volunteer for your biz? One of our sisters said that it was a good place to post.
Keep us posted on how it goes. Hope you have a great day!
Hi sis. Jill, can't complained super duper :-). Ooh really I will try. Just that latterly I am very scare d of hawkers. They hawker everybody nowadays. Thanks for the information
Regards
Hello dear:-)
Great to hear! Yes. They shouldn't require any money, if that's what you mean, if you specifically say it's pro bono/voluntary work.
You're welcome. Let me know how it goes...
Oh really! No strings attached :-) haha. I think the domain might cost or?
Well will drop a post and see the response.
Thanks sis. Jill
Yeah, for real:-)
Oh, yes, the domain name will cost a flat fee, and so will the web hosting, but just look for the cheapest/most reliable ones, or go on the recommendation of the web designer since that's already their world. Cool, let me know how it goes...
You're welcome, dear!
Ah you see! We are looking for completely cost free ooo. Currently, we do not have a contingency budget at all. Pls what do you meant by recommendations of a website designer? At idealistic or you mean I ask for more clarification?
Yes, I know! Yes, on idealist.org, ask the website designer their recommendations for best domain site, web hosting, platform, etc. as that is their expertise already.
Dear Sis Salifu,
You are doing commendable work with teen mothers and I am so proud of your noble work. In India child marriage still thrives so many women are under 20 when they become mothers some are as young as 13 or 14. These women have a pitiable life they become home keepers, caregivers of elderly in the family and second mums to their husbands with their needs coming in the last. I am also happy you have the skill to ask for your needs( for your initiative) and get it. 4 years back I did a diploma course from John Hopkins on social behavior change communication where I learnt that the first and most important skill for a social entrepreneur is 'Ask'. If we don't communicate our needs the chances that they will never be met is high. I wish you a great success.
Love and prayers,
