It has been 2 months that I have been training 10 inmates on ICT Skills at the Bamenda Central Prison. As the main trainer assisted by one other direct collaborator, we have successfully ended the first phase of the Creative Skills for Peace Project oraginesd by LoYoCo Cameroon.
This project provides an alternative way of life for youths with a history of violence, who are either in prison or correctional facilities a chance at becoming better versions of themselves by giving them a second chance, to live, to be better.
I have been working in my community for the past 8 years to eradicate violence against women and girls. I have empowered more than 3000 women and girls physically in Nigeria in the course of my work and about 15,000 women and girls through my campaign on radios. Therefore it is very likely that several women and girls even those that I don't know at all would know me as a change maker in my community.
