Are you a professional eager to give back? Are you interested in changing the face of leadership? TechWomen has an opportunity for you – become a mentor! Mentors have the power to challenge and inspire others, and TechWomen is seeking Bay Area mentors for its 2015 program. What is TechWomen? TechWomen empowers the next generation of women leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) from Africa, Central Asia and the Middle East by providing them an opportunity to advance their careers, pursue their dreams, and inspire women and girls in their communities. This year, nearly 100 women from 19 countries will participate in the five-week program. These Emerging Leaders will work on a project at host companies, while networking, attending workshops and experiencing life in the Bay Area. What does a TechWomen mentor do? There are two types of mentors: Professional Mentors and Cultural Mentors. Each Professional Mentor coaches an Emerging Leader on a mutually beneficial project at the mentor’s company. Cultural Mentors assist the Emerging Leaders in discovering and understanding the traditions, values and diversity of the United States. Are you ready to impact the life of an Emerging Leader? Apply to become a mentor today.
Deadline for priority consideration is Sunday, July 19, 2015.
