In India fairness creams and lotions do a rocking business-why? Because beauty has been defined by the standards of fairness! There are so many ethnic communities in India, also races, each with a unique skin tone. The British colonial rule in India has left an imprint in our minds that fair is beautiful when in fact, Indians were never the fairest.
