Empowerment Though ART at Local Waters Utilities Administration

one of "The Three faces of Maria Elena" Oil on 8x20 inch recycled skaletboard

After 4 days of exhibition and exposition (March 19- 22, 2018), where LWUA Local Water's Utilities Administration addressed me as World pulse featured change maker, I had the chance to talk with the administrator of Local Waters Utilities Administration, to speak about my organization, about world pulse and on the causes that I and team ETA do. They also expressed their concerned understanding on their employees and to those people who were not entertained by my paintings.

It was a great opportunity to have a press release and be featured in World Pulse community, people were excited to know about my advocacy and my works.

The importance of giving an open space for artists to do an experiment on how people react with the pictures of the reality, was a great experience, I expressed myself as a woman, as an artist, as an artivist who stands for the rights of women and girls in celebration of women’s month.

It became an open door of more speaking engagement and exhibitions after the exhibit. I am grateful for the negative words that became positive in me.

The bottom line is, just stand for what you believe in!
