Introducing myself and my journal: “Rouvmut paan” - the lost self

About Me:
I belong to Kashmir a valley of beauty surrounded my pain of violence. Throughout my life I have been witnessing violence discriminations, violations of very type, Some due to the ongoing resentment between the people of Kashmir with the Indian government or the socially contracted that again due to unaccountability by the law.
In my master I come across with the literature on gender peace and conflict that has been so far of great help for understanding the loopholes within our society. Moreover I can sense and figure out the active actors in any conflict situation. In my society there is a great ways through which gender disparity is going on. Whenever a voice is raised against the discriminations and violation of laws n right of women the bigger issues of state terrorism or insurgency are put on fore front and the women voices are not heard. In a seminar held at Kashmir University on the domestic violence attended by a huge number with many well educated n high level intellectuals concluding on a very disgusting note that “in our society there is no domestic violence and there is no need of the DV act in Kashmir”. This concept is un-Islamic and can create unthinkable changes within our society. The law must be formulated so that our cultural and social laws n sentiments will be preserved.
So, I am focusing my further studies on gender equality and religion.
