Do not mistreat Children ----Tell every Grassroot woman

Children, when molded with the best of Character build a transformed generation. It does not matter whether it is your own child, your step child, your relatives or neighbor’s child treat them like you treat yourself.
I am very familiar with families, mothers and fathers calling the children dogs, ghosts, stupid, useless, animal. (mbwa gwe) meaning you dog. It is a very wrong character being instilled in children. As a child I did not miss such names and harsh treatments this is why I stand out to request you to educate the grassroots women in your communities.
I will not talk much about the language used to children, I will just remind us to revise the language we use with children, when I say children, I mean any child around you. Be kind to them and they will be kind to others including their own children too.
I will talk about the worst I have seen, intentionally burning children with fire, hot water or porridge. It is very alarming in Uganda (common in women) burning their step children, the neighbor’s children, grand children and their own children , starving them for days, through beatings as a punishment for the wrongs they have done.
It is a very common case among children who steal food stuffs like sugar, meat, fish…, money , falling to fetch water and all sorts of house work.
It all depends on how you bring up your child, I am a mother myself though my daughter is just one and a half years, I promise to give the best of discipline I can . Becky – my daughter gives whatever she does not use to the needy children for example and I want her to grow up with the spirit of giving. After giving birth I loved the children more than ever before. As world changers, I call upon all of us to treat children well and educate other women out there to treat children as they treat themselves.
These pictures and wounds are not only skin wounds, they are internal wounds too, these children can never forget their experiences. Most of them grow up with lack of confidence and bitterness too.
It is time to transform the lives of children in our communities. They will never forget the least of love, acceptance and care you show them. Make them smile, atleast one child in a week!
