Imagine the impact of your decision for the next THREE days

Imagine the life of a rural girl child;
No school fees to further their education
Her parents/guardian want her to get married by the age of 12, at-most 21.
She has no one to envision her about the so many good things in the world and how to get there, all she knows is to look for firewood, fetch water, cook food, eat and sleep
She has no right to play because she is a young woman, meant to work
She gets married
Her husband BEATS her daily
She produces 7 children
Her husband infects her with HIV
He dies
She suffers with the children
She dies
The children suffer
Her girl child carries on with her challenge,
THE CIRCLE CONTINUES....

I was one of the MANY girls in this fate BUT I was extremely fortunate to find a mentor in the United States. She helped me finish my high school education and continued to support me in many ways while I pursued my dream of a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. Now that I have graduated, I have a good job and am able to support my mother and my 17 nieces and nephews. I am also able to assist my community.

Imagine if TODAY you chose to reach out to ONLY one girl; mentor and educate her. Imagine what her future will be
like....

35 rural girls were enrolled for the mentorship project,31 have already got mentors from Austria, Australia, England, Germany and from the United States.
13 more girls still lack mentors. We have only up to January 31, 2012 to sign up.
Take an ACTION today. Mentor just ONE girl.
