My Past wounds-part of my future

After my resignation from the catholic institution,I applied to a womens' group who need a part time assistant coordinator to be assigned in an urban poor community and implement a Community-based Health Program.But during my interview by the head and her assistant they decided to hire me full-time.I went to the said community and approached the already the two women existing leader.With their help we tap more women from the community and as our plan representative from the youth and mothers who are interested to attend the health training was scheduled.Health training was done with a module,health promotion disease prevention,first aid,family planning,etc. were taught to the participants.After the training they have schedule to help during the clinic day every Saturday.On weekdays,we have to go to the community per block and discuss relevant topics and the trained health worker was the one assigned to invite the mothers and those who are interested to attend.We have woman doctor and nurse every Saturday in the clinic.
Added to my designation as assistant coordinator is being a liason officer and administrative assistant.As part of my personal development I am assigned to attend to meetings of different womens group and trainings/seminars done to local and one time have the chance to attend outside the Philippines.I've attended a lot of seminars/trainings in connection to womens' reproductive health and rights,etc.,which widens my knowledge and understanding of holding my decision over my body.
An expected downfall happened to us staff, because \"somebody\"influenced the head of our organization and we were adviced to look/apply for another job.We tried to seek the help of some prominent members of our organizations, hoping that they can help us to convince our \"boss\" but our case was fall to deaf ears.We're just asking to give us a separation even not equal to per month of our salary times how many years of our stay.We asked amount wherein we can use it just to start or while we don't have yet another job. I've noticed that my officemates who were a bit pioneer to me can easily got job from other women NGOs.That \"somebody\" replaces her friends whom she knows for the position we're occupying.I've felt that something is unfair/wrong happened,with the advice of many of my concerned friends, after one year,I decided to file the case- (ULP)unfair labor practices to the (DOLE)department of labor and employment.I'm aware that our organizations vision is to fight for womens' right but why is it that while we are the human rights advocator,in reality, we're the ones' violated of that right?Why did they removed us?,it's just only in principle but zero implimentation.After less than a year I am vendicated, I won the case and they pay what is due me.
