Introducing myself and my journal: Dahope

About Me:
My names are Elizabeth Akinyi Osewe, a Kenyan citizen, single mother to 4 lovely children, aged between 18 and 6 years. A social worker by profession and a strong advocate of women's rights, especially in matters partaining to HIV/AIDS policies. I have travelled around the world and interacted with different persons, cultures and personalities. I speak English, Swahili, Dholuo and Norwegian, since I have lived in Norway for some remarkable number of years. I have worked with different organizations locally, regionally and internationally to uplift the lives of women, especially grassroot women, who have no voice and hence very delighted to be part of this forum, where women issues are discussed and published as I believe that whatever has been researched and documented, will stay with us for a long time. I believe that women are the backborne of so much and could change the world to a better place if we all were given the opportunity to showcase what we have. In our own small or a big ways I believe that every woman has something that is unique and only meant for her, but which could be of a much greater benefit to her fellow women and the society as a whole. In short Am happy and lucky to be part of this dream that has turned out to be a reality.
