Introducing myself and my journal: Peace In My Fingers

About Me:
Hi everyone!

My name is Aleksandra (Aleks) Nesic, I am originally from Serbia (lived there for 19 years) but I currently reside in the USA. I moved to the US in the late 90s, after ethnic conflict and bombing by NATO ravaged through the region. I have a background in psychology, education and communication, and I through my work, I am committed to developing and implementing educational programs which empowers people from any country and culture to get to know each other, learn about each other and bridge cultures for greater understanding, trust, equal justice and peace among each other.

I believe that the true power is and has always been within the people, and especially among the youth and women. I believe in a collective voice of the people, and I am honored to be a part of the World Pulse and Voices of the Future, to collectively work towards a more peaceful, just and equal world. The opportunity given to me by my family to be educated, empowered and to speak up have been so invaluable and I am thrilled about the opportunity to meet and get to know other empowered voices around the world.

In peace,
Aleks.
