Introducing myself and my journal: "To Strive, To Seek, To Find, And Not To Yield"

About Me:
I'm a Women's and Gender Studies major and radical feminist. I'm currently trying to finish school without completely compromising my principles; a task easier said than done. I had to leave school for medical reasons, and now I'm stuck in an unfamiliar state living with my mother and stepfather, with one year left of college to complete. A situation I never would have pictured myself in. Now, I'm just trying, like anyone else in their early twenties, to figure out who I am, where I want to go/be, and how to get there. My hope is that I will use my life as a means to inspire and change the world, whether it's via social justice work, the environment, or anything else I'm passionate about. Thomas Paine said, \"We have it in our power to begin the world over again.\" I believe that. The tasks ahead may be daunting, but it must begin somewhere, and I want to be a part of it.

My Passions:
Music, reading, social justice work, baking, tattoos, the environment, life, learning new things

My Challenges:
I'm a procrastinator. I need to be braver/not be so afraid to put myself out there. To make sure I'm spending my time in a worthy way/carpe diem.

My Vision for the Future:
A world where gender violence, racism, sexism, classism, ableism, heterosexism/homophobia, etc are words/ideologies that are gone from the vocabulary because we will have created a world void of them, without need for them.

My Areas of Expertise:
Women's and Gender Studies, Sexuality and Gender Identity Studies
