I am a global health communicator, racial and social justice advocate, writer and editor.
Currently, I am a strategic communications consultant and work with social justice focused foundations and nonprofit organizations including Our Bodies Ourselves, International Women's Media Foundation, Foundation for a Just Society, and the NoVo Foundation. I am the former editor of Impatient Optimists, the blog for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and also served as Managing Editor/Senior Staff Writer for RH Reality Check (now Rewire News) where I helped build the award-winning digital platform for reproductive and sexual health and rights coverage.
I've been published in numerous progressive online publications and am a contributor to the newest edition of Our Bodies, Ourselves.
I live in Seattle, WA in the United States with my husband, two teenagers, and a dog named Butterfly.
My vision is of a just and equitable society where all people have bodily autonomy!
My expertise falls within reproductive justice (reproductive rights and health) in the US and globally, maternal health, and gender justice.
