The above are mostly illiterate of semi literate, engaged in their own livelihood strategies of survival, not employed by government and have their individual political affiliation. There is perception that political commentary is equated to having personal interest to be a politician. This tend to inhibit a lot of elite women in particular to discuss politics openly. On the other hand, illiterate or semi literate women tend to openly show their political affiliation without fear. There could be several reasons for that. It is hoped that my interviewee will share her views on it.

The objective is to hear the voices of women on women’s political leadership and participation from a category of women leaders who are not educated but are actively engage in partisan politics. What can educated women learn from them?
