Invisible Terrorism

After the horrific incident of Peshawar Army School attack world is shattered with grief and shock. Terrorism is reaching new heights of cruelty. Development of darker side of humanity is far more rapid than the kinder side. People say good people are rare and my observation is that bad people are also very few in numbers. But the problem is with mass; they are huge in volume and act like mute spectator. When cruelty is aggressively attention seeking and visible we can choose the evil hands and try to chop them out. But when cruelty, killings and blood-sheds are silent, invisible and wrapped behind some other facts it becomes too tough to identify the evil hands behind it and eventually the fight against such kind of cruelty becomes weak from the very beginning. What is happening in my beloved country every day is nothing but systematic killings of thousands without any evidence. I called it invisible terrorist attack on humanity.
According to UN report everyday more than six thousands (6000) children aged between zero to five are dying due to malnourishment or malnourishment related diseases. Our government surveys are full of evidences to show us that how millions and millions tons of food grains are left to rot in storages. That is happening in the world’s largest democracy, in my beloved country, India. Is not it terrorism, is not it horrifying? Yes GDP is the most important thing for our finance ministry but lay man like me does not live with GDP. We know two basic things; what is our income and what is the market price. What we’ll do by knowing that our GDP is higher than Germany’s or Japan’s. That news cannot save our children from drying to death. More than 70% of people are living below poverty line and when our respective governments failed to control poverty they are using their talents to reduce the poverty line to make the horrific scenario a bit better. But those landless, jobless, health less and education less people are marching towards the cities to survive anyhow at any cost. Poverty is becoming more visible under the neon signs and bill boards. Hardly a few people will read the news paper report that explains how and why the gap between the rich and poor people is increasing in India. But everyone can see the increasing numbers of extreme poor migrated people in their towns and cities. Poverty is the disease swallowing India and it is now visible everywhere except some well planned VIP zones.
Terrorism known as Jihads is the perverted form of rebellion against discriminations. It is becoming dangerous and malicious and full of narrow ideologies. But the invisible terrorism which perpetuates hunger, malnourishment, death, illiteracy and vicious cycle of exploitations is more dangerous of all terrorism.
