Web 2.0 is the most important Century XXI communications tool. The most common site I use to access, post, find information and build network is the Facebook. Also am part of couple mail lists, where I post important events, take part in national and international discussions regarding Forestry, Local People Traditional Knowledge and Rights, Climate Change Risks, Adaptation and Mitigation Strategies, Sustainability, Governance. As I live and work in a very distant and isolated Brazilian State, which barely appears in the major media, and where internet access is limited. And considering that the world vision of Amazon region and people differs a lost of reality, I believe PulseWire can provide the opportunity of exchanging realities between woman in the tropical belt who share common interest in the mentioned subjects or just want to know more about my place (Amapá), personal experience as radio broadcaster dealing with forestry sector.
