My childhood Summer days In Guntur .

Guntur is not only within Sun Belt

The town is a part of Solar heat belt

Summers in Guntur are sizzlers

Day and night hot wind blowers

Life without electricity or cooling towers

The only solace is cold water showers

Lucky to be alive without any fall overs

Not being one of those sun-strokers

Destined to overcome , being one of survivors

So it came to pass , come July 1945 Summer over

Now going to join M G High School , Brodipet , Guntur

A student to join Fourth Form also known as Ninth Grader

Me hoping to be welcome , a stranger , a new comer

Me a student walking slowly , waiting for an unknown future ???
