I am a social development worker in the Philippines. I am based in Davao City in Mindanao, the southern part of the country. I am now Chair of the Caucus of Development NGO Networks (CODE-NGO) and of the Mindanao Coalition of Development NGO Networks (MINCODE). I was a member of the 11th and 12th Philippine Congress, where I represented Abanse! Pinay, a women's party-list organization. I do consultancy work on Gender and Development and Social Development Work for Civil Society Organizations. I love to write, read and do cooking and gardening.
I am a mother of 4 (one daughter, Lyca, and 3 sons, Myles, Lyle and Kyle) and I have 2 grandchildren (Kyra Noelle and Joaquin Alfonso).
My Vision for the Future
I want to see a world where everyone, specially women and girls, can participate fully in the development of their communities. I want to see a world where children can grow cherishing the values of love and sharing and freedom and peace, instead of a world where children live constantly in fear for their safety and their future.
