‘Kumli’ was a suicide case due to Family and Social violence- My villager case of Nepal

All people of my villagers ridiculed her due to she has disorder in her backache. Her backache had big cyst (Kumli) about football size from her birth. Therefore, everybody said her ‘Bad looking, bad girl and unlucky girl’. She has dream of marriage to handsome guy but due to great ceast in backache she compel to bow down her body. Even village  children also joked her. Therefore, she felt more humiliation and powerless. Even in the house also everybody said due to her bad work in the previous life she got that types of body.  Therefore, she was violated from home, youth, children and everybody in the society. And every body said Kumli, Kumli, Kumli..........instead of calling in her name Sakuntala.

Gradually, Shankuntala showed aggressive behavior  and she became mad. And when everybody ridiculed her she became so furious and she hit every body by throwing stone.

At the last she became mad and wept loudly. Even she bit her mother, brothers and neighbours. Initially as a neighbor she loved me very much because I was 4 years old and she always bathed to me, clothing to me and made me fashionable girl. But after mad, she became more furious to everybody. Therefore, her mother and brother kept her in the one room locking from outside. She could not permit to go outside. As a child, I could not understand anything about that why such things happended her. But now I remembered due to social violence she became in a such condition. In that time , I remembered only small things but now I analysed if she were not ridiculed by anybody. She never showed such types of behavior. I saw that many times she jumed down from window for suicide. Finally, when she was in banned in the one room as a home jail, she cut door by her   and went to river and did suicide. Her dead body was found after only 12 days about 15 KM far from where she suicide did. Therefore, negative mind set people compelled to make woman as change as mad. Therefore, positive awareness should be provided in village level, how to act to women, disable and poor people. Society also doesn’t understand other heart. How to react other, not need to dominate. Small things need to change by society by using appreciate inquiry tool. Otherwise more and more women will do suicide. I wanted to put her photo but I had not photo of her because that time photo camera was not in village. Therefore, when I aware about gender case and woman sensitivity case then I always remembered that case. If I was in this present condition, I encouraged her and saved out from suicide case. I heartily express my condolence to society victim woman Sakuntala.
