Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
Hello, I work in a feminist agency which advocates for the safety of women and children. I'm currently studying for my Social Work Degree, having completed a Diploma in Community Welfare. Last year I joined www.asafeworldforwomen.org through which I have been introduced to some fabulous field partners in NGOs across the globe, which are providing education, resources and support to women and children who are vulnerable. I'm passionate about the reduction, if not the elimination of violence against women and children, particularly gendered violence. As a student of Buddhist practice, I believe that our compassion and an understanding that we are all connected, can be instrumental in bringing about happiness throughout our global family. It's important to me that we endeavour to respect diversity and celebrate unity. :)
