Introducing myself and my journal: Women's rights



About Me:
I am a journalist with over 25 years of experience as a Senior Editor, Feature writer and Photo journalist and I have worked in three mainstream newspapers in Sri Lanka. I am a graduate of the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka and I have a postgraduate degree in International Relations. My dissertation was \"Challenges in implementing International Conventions in Sri Lanka\" with special emphasis on women's rights in Sri Lanka as a multi ethnic, multi cultural and multi religious country. My research area is on women's rights. I have recently presented a paper on \"Domestic violence in Sri Lanka\" for an international conference held in Key West, Miami, Florida, USA. I like to work with battered women all over the world and help them within my capacity using the experience I have gained as a journalist having associated a wide section of the society.
