Global Youth Coalition on AIDS is a youth-led, UNAIDS and UNFPA-supported alliance of 5000 youth leaders and adult allies working on HIV/AIDS in 150 countries worldwide. The Coalition, based at a North Secretariat in New York City and South Secretariat in Accra Ghana, prioritizes capacity building and technical assistance, networking and sharing of best practices, advocacy training, and preparation for international conferences. The coalition was formed by young people attending the HIV/AIDS conferences in Barcelona, Spain and Bangkok, Thailand.



GYCA Nigeria is implementing the “Youth Voices on the MDGs” project as part of its 2010 year long programming. The project which seeks to scale up the involvement of young people in the achievement of the MDGs by increasing awareness on it and getting young people to evaluate government’s performance on its fulfillment of the goals.



GYCA is currentlly recreuiting young researchers for the production of her "State of the MDGS in Nigeria:The Youth Perspective" The research component of the programme would take place in the states below



A. South West (Lagos state/ Oyo State)



B. North Central( Abuja/Nassarawa State)



C. South South (Akwa Ibom/Cross Rivers)



D. South East(Imo/Anambra)



E. North East(Bauchi/ Taraba)



F. North West(Kano/Kaduna)
