Introducing myself and my journal: AWoman tourching a woman

About Me:
Iam avolunteer of the women program. ilove women and ifeel ican spend my life serving them full time.iam married to Mr Ogwang for 7 years now and we have 3 children, my husband studed law but he is not yet employed. so iam currently working with faithbased non profit organisation where iam paid 132 pounds,my husband grew rice to suplement the tuition fees for his studies & the families income.

Women Program
Ihave led women programs for the last four years, ihave shared with women within and over seas, the women all over have similar challeges and the amazing experience is that women themselves know their issues, they can analyse them and come up with collective advocacy voice to one another, community, and the local government( Community initiatives).
Ihave set classes for open discussions and experience sharing for widows alone, married women alone and sigle ladies. The best lessons are being taken and testified on how other women through the same experiece of domestic violence and how they come out of it.Women at all levels do not know their rights and what to do incase of domestic violence, Some African cultures have misdirected women to keep silent and persevere in marriage to upbring the children , without taking consideration on human rights issues.

Ignorance of women on their responsibilities at home has partly contributed to domestic violence, especially on economic responsibilities, women believe its the role of man to provide ,as they fold their hands ,poverty steps in and men get driven out fall prey to other able women, leaving the family in absolute lack, this women when they become widows cannot stand alone to support their families, thier property can be grabed while they continue mourning for their loved ones.

Women have started on revolving loan schemes, like Akubui Village widows have this scheme to support one another instead of begging, married women have influence their husbands to repsect them as bread winners and the men also formed agrroup and build houses for each other using revolving loan scheme, Domestic violence is least noticed in this village, this village is a case study group for our programs.

My personal achivement will be felt if ihave build the capacity of this women to axcess their rights, this dream is like putting small fish back to the water from the river bank waves, althogh the river is large if makes ameaning for the few i would have saved back to the water during my time of Office.
