I am Babykeeper -- "One who keeps the Soul's journey into this physical world as the focus of birth." I support families from conception beyond, I attend birth as an advocate for the baby, and I capture on video the most important day of a human's life. I have been a counselor, program director, grassroots organizer, rabble rouser, and activist -- all focused on empowering women and their children.
I have been a mother for 34 years, since age 18, and after "four or five lives", I am now redefining my life and world to realize long held visions of contributing to "changing the world." I have four children; three grown, and three young grandsons.
I am currently taking a break from my work as a CranioSacral based integrative therapist specializing in birth trauma healing to do a birth film. "The Other Side of the Glass: Finally, A Birth Film for Fathers" is about the sentience of the human newborn at birth. It is about the systemic violation of baby boys and girls, women, and men; and about how this impacts a human/couple/family for life. It is about creating aware and respectful treatment of newborn boys and girls, and it's about the healing of the primal wounding that has created a separation of feminine and masculine, and the resulting violation of women.
