Why I Joined This Group

I have come across many platforms for women but this one is different. In one instance, I was asked to pay a huge amount to attend an empowerment conference, least talking of the flight ticket, accommodation and feeding. I was asked also to pay to become a community leader.

As I attended the introductory world pulse meeting in Addis Ababa , led by our Africa lead the one and only Yvonne Chi Leina, I just felt that sense of belonging

I joined because it's first and foremost free. You don't have to travel to any where to attend meetings or meet other women. Most importantly, it's very interactive. I have been able to interact with many women whom I would otherwise not have had the opportunity to know. From the comfort of my home or any where/anytime I read articles written by others at the same time, learning about what prevails in other countries/cultures. We share experiences and encourage one another in our individual endeavours.

This platform educates us on the importance of technology and encourages us to use it wisely. I can log in to world pulse on my phone, or iPad and do whatever assignments I have. Isn't it amazing?

But, I must admit, it's addictive; positively.

My wish is for this tribeto grow bigger and more powerful so that our individual and collective efforts will be able to influence policies in our various countries.

I say a big thank you to the founder of world pulse and all who are working very hard to keep it going.

Best regards,

Avera
