Dream and Real World

I can't stop people dreaming. Dream is so cheap and universal because every single individual has right to dream and it doesn’t need any money to dream. Who might have imagined that one day their own dream will take them to grave?

I saw women in long queue when I went to Ministry of Foreign affair to make my passport. Thousands of dreams flown through the innocent faces. I joined the queue. I tried to communicate with the women next to me. The women seemed as if she is in her thirties. She wore red kurta salwar with a black bag on her hand. She looked naive but, she was acting as if she knew everything. I asked her in which country are you going? When we saw people in this place we usually think they are going to foreign countries. She replied, “I am going to Kuwait”. I feel bad for her because I found out that she came from a village and she is illiterate. These were the women who even cannot roam around her own country. Some women even don’t know what is computer, vacuum, washing machine or other modern appliances. Words on the signboards are like puzzle for them. How could they survive in foreign countries? Dream of earning lots of money makes them helpless.

“If I can earn more money outside the country with the same labor that I do here then it’s better to go to foreign country rather than working here”. This is the mentality of thousands of youths in Nepal. That’s the reason why thousands of young men and women go to foreign country for the sake of work. Students don’t get the appropriate job even after the completion of their studies. If we compare the salary of Labors in foreign and bank manager within the country. Low ranking labors earn more than an educated person. These circumstances highly encouraged young manpower to go to foreign countries.

Thousands of young men and women died in gulf countries. Women are becoming the target of domestic violence. Usually women go to foreign countries as a care taker. Their luck totally depends upon the nature of owner. They are becoming the victim of physical and mental torture. They even can’t return back to their own homeland because of their debts. Their responsibilities towards their children, parents forced them to bear every sort of difficulties which sometimes led them to death. Thus, sometimes it’s better to keep aside your responsibility even it is against your personality.
