The Vision

As I walk past the nicely finished houses, being overtaken by all makes of cars seeing happy families transporting their kids to school and enjoying being treated at nice restaurants by friend and colleagues I often wonder what could have gone with my life. When I look back eight years back when I was in college, I had a vision for that particular kind of life. I had hopes for a perfect society, a world of Utopia or near perfect. I had a vision for a just society and a just family.
All this is what I envy. But of late because these things may not really bring the actual happiness, I shifted my vision from the material world to another dimension. My dream is to see a just world in front of me. A world where I help put a smile on someone’s face. To give hope to the hopeless, especially the underprivileged women whom I come across. I want to be that shoulder where someone can lean on in times of trouble because I have first hand experience on what loneliness and abuse can do to you. All this is because I have realized that is part of journey to achieving happiness. I need not focus on what I did wrong but need to focus on what I can mend and what I can give back to society in terms of skills, friendship and shoulders to lean on.
My vision is to see a world full of women with happy faces. Women who have the zeal to succeed, in every small thing no matter what. Women who are open minded, informed, and change makers. All this I believe starts from educating the women to be a good role model in society, within her family because in order for us to conquer the world as women we would have started it from the family and move towards the community and lastly the world.
Many women have suffered a lot. I want to be the Voice by making people view life with a different angle, from a life of closing their hearts and contradicting with their emotions because of past events. I want to women to be a testimony and view every suffering as a qualifying mark, qualifying them to be better people.
Being a link for the voiceless and the outside world is the first step to help me achieve my vision. This means that I would be able to be a link for my community, that is, my immediate world with the whole world at large through Pulse Wire and other tools or platforms that would be availed to me through my participation in the Voices of Our Future Correspondent. I would forge partnerships through the voice and speak on their behalf and help others to say out their views by participating in their own empowerment. I would teach through my writings through my voice on how women can face their fear, how they can make use of their family ties to achieve their goals and be happy and I would also encourage them to join female groups like being Avroy Shlain members who have women at heart where women can manage their own business with very little start up capital or none at all. Connections like these would help take our women or us to the next level. I would also not forget the work place, would advocate for the formation of groups that would helps us women like this year we formed our own group where we contributed money at the beginning of the year and started borrowing it to members at a small interest. This will see us through the festive season with some extra cash in our pocket and we will use part of that to buy foodstuffs at wholesale price to cushion us the first quarter of next year. All this shows that, together women can do a lot. This would help more women this part of the world to stand up for their true selves not leading someone’s life. The fact that I am versatile and have connections with three countries makes it even better since I would have a larger audience.
