Volunteer Opportunity for the Upcoming My Story Program!

To the wonderful VOF Correspondents,

I hope this finds you well! World Pulse is back with a new call for entries for our popular My Story program. We’re asking women to submit personal stories about “Standing Up”, for a chance to be published in our upcoming print magazine, themed Uprising.

Selected entries will be featured in My Story, the section of World Pulse Magazine where women around the world share their personal stories describing pivotal experiences in their lives, in their own words, and the top three stories will be rewarded a $100 honorarium. Similar to our Voices of Our Future Application process and past My Story programs, we will need a team of Listeners to evaluate the stories, offer support and encouragement to the women who participate, and to help our Editorial Department select the best stories for publishing in our next print magazine. For those of you who participated as Listeners before, you did an amazing job of encouraging the women who shared their stories, and helping World Pulse select the top stories for publication through your insightful evaluations. Those stories will be published in Spirit, which will reach newsstands and subscribers in late June.

For the next issue, Uprising, the window for story submissions for My Story is from June 28, 2011, when the program will be announced publicly, until July 22, 2011. This volunteer opportunity is from June 28 until July 29 (when all of the listeners’ evaluations need to be complete).
