UPDATES OF WOMEN INSPIRATION DEVELOPMENT CENTER, NIGERIA

I feel very strongly that I should share with you what has been happening regarding our work in Nigeria lately. Last year \"16 Days of Activism\" I was able to secure a grant of $1000 from African Women development Fund to organize awareness Campaign on radio for 16 weeks. the program was a huge success as it attracted so much attention to Women Inspiration Development Center and our work at the center. This year the African Women development Fund (AWDF) visited us at the center to see for themselves the success of the program and how they could help our work further. They were so impressed with what we are doing so much that we were one of the few organization displayed at their website. Also we are able to secure 541 Euros from our fundraising in \"betterplace.org\" This money we will use to organize Empowerment workshop and skill acquisition training for 25 secondary school leaver girls. The Empowerment workshop and training will start on Sturday, 3rd of August, 2013. It has been a lot of struggle to keep the center going for some time that I almost given up but the happenings of last few months have been giving me hope that my dream for Nigerian women and girls will be realized.
