“Most of the land is deteriorating. However, we are seeing a situation whereby most governments and non-governmental organisations are responding to the symptoms of land degradation rather than the causes. For instance, we are seeing most governments and non-governmental organisation responding to the problem of soil erosion, flooding and the never ending drought relief programmes,” says Elias Ncube the Training Manager for Africa Centre for Holistic Management.

In the next two week, participants will learn the Holistic Management concepts, how to mobilise the community and how to manage land restoration programmes in their respective countries.

ACHM conducts the training of trainers in three sessions over a period of six months. This year, there are two groups with participants coming form Madagascar, Namibia, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Botswana.
