Introducing myself and my journal: Cairo, Lusaka, Amsterdam

About Me:
I just graduated with a BA in sociology and will be starting my MA this September. I grew up in Zambia, have spent the last 5 years in Egypt. and will soon be moving to Holland. I am interested in issues to do with women, in particular women and Islam and how the Qur'an has been manipulated over time to oppress women and deny them their rights. I am also interested in issues of colonialism, post-colonialism and orientalism. In terms of geographical areas I am interested in the Middle East, Iran, Southern Africa, and Western Europe. I love to connect with new people in different places and am looking forward to this experience with world pulse.
