Introducing myself and my journal: Caity Loves...

About Me:
Hello from sunshiny Melbourne! I live in a busy city that I love, and am lucky enough to have seen many countries in the world. Australia is a wonderful country, and I feel very blessed to have grown up here. I first began visiting developing countries in Asia and the Pacific (Australia's closest neighbours) when I was fifteen, and have travelled there many times since. I have always been passionate about travel and exploring the world, and have had many lovely travel companions in friends, family, work collegues and my beloved boyfriend. The rights of women are incredibly important to me, and the right for all women to be educated is a cause worth fighting for. Virginia Woolf's 'A Room of One's Own' changed my life. Women need care and encouragement and education, and I don't take for granted that not all women have been as encouraged as I have by my own family to be educated. I have two degrees in Arts and Public Relations Communications and am completing a Masters degree in Writing and Literature, which I am very much enjoying. I am so looking forward to being involved in this program, and welcome the chance to meet and talk to other women from all over the world. Feel free to drop in and say hello anytime! Caitlyn x

My Challenges:
Dismayed and devestated by racism, intolerance, indifference, war, sweatshop labour, injustice and child labour in developing countries.

My Vision for the Future:
An end to global poverty, educated women everywhere with the freedom to learn and grow, no children dying of preventable diseases, no sweatshops to support Western consumerism
